  1. practice, as distinguished from theory.

"the gap between theory and praxis, text and world"

Every painting is a discovery; the ink in water has a will of its own. There's a wildness to watercolor, a literal blurring of the edges that feels feral, resisting easy control. The acrylic linework layered on top of the watercolor is incredibly time consuming; it is meticulous, voracious for time. A mountain is an ancient urge given shape. The world is still being created. I strive to create art that embraces the intersection between meticulousness and wildness: a feral praxis.
